Interstate Font is known to be the digital typeface font that was developed by Tobias Frere-Jones throughout the period of 1993–1999, and it was licensed under the name of the Font Bureau.
The styling of this typeface is basically inspired by the Type E of the FHWA series of fonts same as the sophia font which is basically a signage alphabet that was especially drawn by Dr. Theodore W. Forbes for the United States Federal Highway Administration in the year 1949.
This typeface contains a full version of Slash & Uppercase Letters that also with the varieties of Punctuation Marks and Numerals. This is the light bold typeface that can be easily found in Microsoft Word.
